Hey Qweens! Welcome back to the RuCap!
Each week, I’ll be serving up all the sick’ning Drag Race moments that left us gagging! Okurrr!? Anyhoo, let’s get started…
Spoiler Alert: We’re spilling all the T, hunties!
This week we start out the episode mourning the elimination of Dusty Ray Bottoms.
And while she will be missed all attention goes to Asia O’Hara as she expresses her feelings about helping the other qweens and how it affected her performance.
Last week she learned her lesson to make herself a priority in a moment that definitely won her some points with the viewers.
But at the top of this episode her annoyance with the other qweens over not helping her kind of flipped the script on her previous narrative.
The Mini Challenge:
This week the mini-challenge has the qweens doing military quick drag . With her fierce walk, The Vixen wins the challenge and is tasked with pairing up everyone for the maxi challenge. She admits that while most all of her choices were made without malice, she did choice to pair up Eureka O’Hara and Aquaria in hopes that they would sabotage each other.
The Maxi Challenge:
The main challenge this week tasks the qweens with coming up with funny bits for a trashy daytime talk show, The Bossy Rossy Show. It’s all about improv and teamwork this week and some teams got it and some teams definitely did not.
Unfortunately for The Vixen, her and Asia’s “Cracker and Aquaria” bit flops and Eureka and Aquaria kill it with their “Sexy Baby” bit. Overall, this was a fun challenge and definitely gave us the acting challenge they always try for, without sticking us with the almost always underwhelming ensemble performances of the past.
This week on the runway the queens served “Denim and Diamonds” and while I’m sure they put their all into their looks, overall they were kind of a let down. In the end, Eureka was named this week’s winner (insert shot of The Vixen’s side-eye) and Mayhem Miller and Monet found themselves once again in the bottom.
The Highlight: Miz Cracker in that ridiculous Pippy Longstockings look had me cracking up. She is killing it, despite being denied the win week after week.
The Lowlight: Denim and Diamonds… not my favorite theme to be honest.
This week, our bottom two take on Shania Twain’s “Man, I Feel Like A Woman.” It’s not the most exciting lip sync song and Monet knows it. She pulls every single stunt in the book, while Mayhem gives a solid, but distant performance. In the end, RuPaul send Mayhem home and obviously it’s sad to see her go, but after years and years of trying she at least made it half way through the competition.
